Are You Ready to Star in Your Own Videos?

What if your business’ website could successfully tap into a pool of 2 billion daily visits?  Would that change the amount of conversions that your site can generate?  What if it was so easy that you could start tapping into this pool within minutes?  Would you want to?

Untapped Potential for Small Businesses

In just a matter of minutes, you could see increased sales, just by beginning to develop a presence on the video social network YouTube.  YouTube has so much untapped potential for small businesses, and it really takes nothing more than an inexpensive video camera and a little bit of know-how.

Increase your Online Sales by Increasing Your Audience

YouTube’s potential for increased sales for business is found in its popular social and networking aspects.  YouTube users upload over 30,000 hours of video and watch over 2 billion videos every single day.  This is an audience larger than the 3 largest major television networks, combined.  This audience also spends an average of 15 minutes choosing to watch videos, leaving comments on those videos, and telling their friends about what they watched that day.

Getting Discovered

YouTube is also designed to easily integrate with Facebook, Twitter and other major social networks, so quality videos can be shared from friend to friend in the blink of an eye.  In the online world, sharing is comparable to giving a referral, so imagine the potential that all of these referrals could have for your business.  To illustrate this potential, if even 1/100% of the people who visit YouTube daily watch one of your videos once, that’s 20,000 people who will see your video, and if even 1/10 of those viewers share that video with a friend, then that’s 2,000 referrals from a simple 3 minute video.

Camera Shy?  Don’t Let That Stop You!

What if you don’t think that you have the time or ability to start posting on YouTube?  Does that mean that you can’t tap into its potential?  The exciting answer is not!  Even with zero ability to create YouTube videos, you can still create a buzz on YouTube.

One great idea is to host a YouTube video contest where contestants have to feature your product in some way.  You could host it so that the users have to submit the videos to you, or you could have them post them on their own YouTube sites.  The latter is better, in my opinion, as all of the contestant’s friends can be instantly connected to the video featuring your company.  Can you say free, effortless advertising?

Start Tapping Into the Power of Video

YouTube is an exciting new tool that is largely untapped in the business world.  Take advantage of this excellent way to build trust and referrals, which can ultimately lead to more sales and leads for your small business.
